A skilled custom colorist
From vibrant to subtle, Cathy is skilled at customizing color using various highlighting techniques. The method depends on the look a client wants, but the result is always multidimensional color that has movement and depth.
There are many different highlighting techniques and Cathy enjoys them all:
- Highlights. Cathy can create bold or subtle highlights using the traditional technique of foiling the hair in sections.
- Balayage. This freehand painting technique creates a super blended, multi-tonal, and sun-kissed result.
- Foilyage. This technique is a blend of highlights and balayage. Cathy begins by painting color onto the hair freehand, before wrapping sections of the hair in foil.
- Babylights. More subtle than traditional highlights, this technique is a delicate way of giving hair a sun-kissed look that leaves it with a beautiful glow and shimmer.
